O assunto, no entanto, não se esgotou na reunião organizada pelo CTBE; alguns tópicos relacionados à área de biocombustíveis e de químicos de renováveis serão discutidos com mais profundidade num segundo momento, após o 6th German-Brazilian Dialogue On Science, Research and Innovation, que acontece na FAPESP, em São Paulo, no dia 8 de novembro. O CTBE será representado pelo coordenador da divisão molecular do Laboratório, Mario Murakami.
Participaram, ainda, diretores do Laboratório Nacional de Luz Síncrotron (LNLS), Laboratório Nacional de Nanotecnologia (LNNano) e do Laboratório Nacional de Biociências (LNBio). Os visitantes também aproveitaram para conhecer as instalações do CNPEM e os experimentos do CTBE, dentre os quais o jardim varietal do Laboratório com variedades de cana-de-açúcar e cana-energia.
