This enzyme is an arabinofuranosidase, which helps in the deconstruction of plant cell wall polysaccharides known as arabinoxylana and arabinana (a component of pectin).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"hr-thin style-line\" style=\"width: 100%;border-top-width: 1px;\"><\/div>[vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section \">\n<div class=\"avia_textblock \">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Differentials of the technology<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section \">\n<div class=\"avia_textblock \">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The unique design proposed by CNPEM for the enzyme\u2019s active site allows it to recognize and remove both single and double decorations, regardless of whether they are at the end of the polymer or in the middle of the chain, simplifying the process of deconstructing arabinoxylan-rich biomass, such as sugarcane bagasse, cotton fibers, and grasses.
