Sugarcane Straw and Bagasse

Sugarcane biomass has historically been used in Brazil for the production of sugar and ethanol, products that are obtained from the juice extracted from the crop stalk. However, the juice represents only a little more than a third of the energy potential of sugarcane.

Energy Cane

Energy cane is considered a good alternative for the production of biomass, since, like sugar cane, the Brazilian climatic conditions should favor its production performance, while the sugar cane mills can be adapted for processing this new raw material.

Forest Residues

Eucalyptus and Pinus, a genus that has more than 700 botanically known species with very diverse physical and chemical properties. Therefore, different species of eucalyptus are used for the most diverse purposes, such as firewood, stakes, posts, railroad crossties, charcoal, pulp and paper, fiber and particle boards, even furniture, power generation, medicines, among others.
