Evaluation of economic feasibility of sugarcane straw for bioelectricity generation is essential to guide decision-making in the sugarcane sector. In addition to being clean and sustainable, the energy generated from sugarcane straw has enormous potential for expansion In Brazil. For that to be achieved, generation needs to be economically viable. Therefore, detailed economic analysis, which reflects the operating conditions of each plant and integrates agricultural, industrial and market costs, is of paramount importance to mills interested in expanding or initiating the generation of electricity using straw. In this sense, SUCRE Project has created tools to carry out this evaluation for partner mills.
